The Emergency Action for Good Leadership Service (EAGLES), Inc. was founded on April 14th, 1989 in response to a group of individuals who believed that "Service to humanity is the best work for life." Originating from the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC-Davao), EAGLES aims to equip the youth with disaster preparedness training, empowering them to become responders in their own communities. This vision was realized through the Youth Safety Service Club (YSSC) of PNRC, which served as the focal point for the pioneers to actively engage in this initiative.
In 1988, the YSSC faced organizational challenges that led to the disintegration of its members. However, the pioneers recognized the importance of their commitment and formed a new group with the same unwavering hope, faith, and conviction to continue their mission of voluntary work for the common good.
On March 10th, 1994, EAGLES was granted its juridical personality by the Philippine Government's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Today, EAGLES remains dedicated to providing emergency voluntary services and promoting a tradition of youth participation in decision-making and solidarity actions within their communities.
To realized its mission, EAGLES will endeavor to educate, organize, build-up and empower the youth regardless of faith, ethnicity, gender, economic and educational background by harnessing their leadership role potentials, optimize their skills geared towards solidarity and community actions
EAGLES envision a society of highly motivated young people who commit themselves to the philosophy that “Service to humanity is the best work for life”.
